cricketmask: (jesus is my gun and drinking buddy)
Now that I've had my nursing license for exactly (*counts on fingers*) three days, I am well and truly over this "unemployed new graduate" thing. Seriously. I know students from the previous cohort said it took an average of four to six months before they were hired somewhere, but I am impatient and my student loans are horrifying, and it has been well over a month since I last placed an IV.

I miss putting in IVs. Is that a weird thing to miss? I feel like that's a weird thing to miss.

Anyway.

The one nice thing about being unemployed is that I have loads of time to write. Oodles, even. Loads and oodles and LOTS. At the moment I have six stories going, most of them "Teen Wolf"-related because that show ate my goddamn brain. The first is a prequel to ain't that a kick in the head, because I wanted to do some worldbuilding from Derek's POV and figure out some of the behind-the-scenes stuff going on that universe. The second is a straight-up continuation of said story, because of reasons. Third story is based on this amazing gif-set, in which Derek is turned into the grumpiest of grumpy cats and hilarity ensues. Fourth story is basically my id being all, "Soooooo, current headcanon is that Derek Hale is basically starved for touch, let's detail all our thoughts on that!" and the fifth story is a Groundhog Day AU, because I FUCKING LOVE GROUNDHOG DAY AUs, OKAY, THEY ARE MY KRYPTONITE.

The sixth story is fanfic for The Last Lovecraft: Relic of Cthulhu, because this is apparently how I watch obscure movies now: I ship two of the main characters like burning and then write fic that no one will read.

...well. Some people might read it. But it probably wouldn't make much sense, because...seriously, has anyone else alive seen this movie? I'm kind of in love with it. It's extremely silly and if the Amazon reviews are anything to go by, people who take Lovecraft way too seriously get kind of apoplectic over it, but I like to think I take Lovecraft juuuust seriously enough that this sort of movie makes my day. Also, it's slashy as hell. I mean. Oh my god. It's ridiculous how slashy this movie is, if by "ridiculous" you mean "awesome."

Which I do. I really, really do.
